RocketZone Marketing is owned by Danni Barnes (below), and was conceived while studying a Bachelor of Business at Unitec New Zealand. Danni studied Innovation & Entrepreneurship, as well as majoring in Marketing. A passion for assisting small business with marketing, and the opportunity to work for herself, meant that establishing her own consultancy was an easy choice.

Signing her first RocketZone client before finishing her degree, meant Danni could develop processes to enhance her knowledge in very practical, on the job learning. Danni established expectations that were realistic and relevant for her clients, often throwing out textbook scenarios for more creative thinking. This lead to a direction that would become the essence of the RocketZone Marketing brand, to design, innovate & connect. Danni is careful to design campaigns with a complete understanding of the message and target audience, without being wasteful of resources that small businesses can ill afford. The challenge is to think laterally for an innovative solution that connects customers to the business through creative communication.
Clients may be in different industries, but their requirements are the same and their marketing needs are bound by limited resources. Through situational analysis, the development of a marketing action plan is a highly collaborative process. This results in a trusting relationship with RocketZone Marketing clients, allowing Danni to establish and implement promotions, with honest communication being paramount. New clients phone weekly, some having waited for Danni to finish her studies and others connecting through word of mouth.
RocketZone Marketing draws on the talents of other professionals to offer clients expertise across a wide variety of disciplines.
Michelle Douglas (right) is the Communications Manager at RocketZone Marketing, assisting our business owners. She writes direct marketing articles, press releases, e-newsletters, promotional copy and website content, providing high quality written material.
